Turning Your Friends Into Neighbors

Turning Your Friends Into Neighbors
Jim and Betty Barber made their home at the Village more than six months ago.
They made the decision after seeing first-hand the services, amenities and comfortable lifestyle that their friends Jim and Kitty Ham were enjoying at the Village. The couples have been friends for more than 30 years, and when the Ham’s moved to the Village seven years ago, the Ham’s began sharing about the Village with the Barber’s.
“As we’ve lived here, we’d have them over for dinner and they’d ask questions and we’d tell them about the great lifestyle, the security we felt and everything we were getting involved in at the Village,” Jim Ham said. “Then about a year ago, the questions got more specific about the healthcare continuum.”
It was then that the Ham’s referred the friend’s to senior living consultant Christine Say, who had helped them as they made their decision to move to the Village.
“We asked a lot of questions, and as Bettye developed physical problems, we knew this would be the best option,” Jim Barber said. “We had faith in what they (the Ham’s) said and we also knew other friends that had moved here.  For us, it’s convenience and it’s a comfort knowing if you have an issue, there are properly trained people who can help immediately.”
When the Barber’s moved in, the Ham’s were able to enjoy the benefits of the Village’s Friends as Neighbors Independent Living Referral Program. You can too!

Referral Program Benefits:
-          When you refer a friend that is a new prospect (someone who has NOT been in contact with the Village in the past), you will receive a free meal at one of the Village restaurants once your friend has visited with a senior living consultant or attended a marketing event.
-          If the friend you’ve referred becomes a resident in independent living, you’ll receive a monthly service fee credit of $250 for a lease move-in or $500 for an entry fee.
-          Our newest project, The Meadows, also has a Referral Program! If the person you refer becomes a Meadows depositor, with an approved contact and puts down 10 percent deposit, you will receive a monthly service fee credit of $250.
“The Village’s Friends as Neighbors Independent Living Referral program is a great way for current residents to participate in the growth of our community by introducing their friends and family to the lifestyle they enjoy,” said Marybeth Roberts, director of sales, marketing and communications.
For more information visit your senior living consultant to learn how you and your friends and family can benefit.
