We wish you a safe and happy New Year! Below are the hours for services around the Village on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Thursday, Dec. 31
- Dial-A-Ride: 7:30 a.m. to Midnight
- Fitness Center: 7 a.m. to Noon
- Thrift Shop: 9 a.m. to noon
- Courtyard Cafe: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Lakeside Grille: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Places: 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 1

Independent Living Referral Rewards Program

Do you wish your friends were your neighbors here at John Knox Village? If so, maybe it’s time to tell them all about this terrific lifestyle so they can experience it while you earn valuable rewards.

Print this "Friends as Neighbors" brochure and return the completed form to the Marketing Office or the Finance window in the Administrative Center, the Village Care Center, or any of the Area Managers' offices. If your friends have not been in contact with the Village in the past and end up moving to the Village because you referred them, you could earn a referral reward of up to $500. Not to mention the bigger bonus of having your friends become your new neighbors!

Courtyard Cafe News

The Courtyard Cafe will return to its normal operating hours on Saturdays effective Dec. 26. The Courtyard Cafe hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information call 347-2302

 Residents and associates are invited to an Open House of the new D Building.
Apartment tours are available from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29. Parking is available on the north side of the building. Look for the event flag at the entrance to the building.

The holidays are upon us! The following is a list of hours around the Village during Christmas and New Year’s.
Administrative Offices: Closed Friday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Jan. 1. The Resident Accounts office will close at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24.
Fitness Center: Thursday, Dec. 24 - 7 a.m. to Noon; Friday, Dec. 25 - Closed; Saturday, Dec. 26 – Open; Thursday, Dec. 31 - 7 a.m. to Noon; Friday, Jan. 1 - Closed.
Salons:
Country Club Salon:  Closed on Thursday, Dec. 24; Friday, Dec. 25; Saturday, Dec. 26 and Friday, Jan. 1.
Village Salon: Closed on Friday, Dec. 25; Saturday, Dec. 26 and Friday, Jan. 1.
Hours on all other days will remain the same.

Dial-A-Ride: Dial-A-Ride will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Jan. 1. The grocery bus will not run on Friday, Dec. 25 or Friday, Jan. 1. Dispatch, security and EMS will be 24/7.
Housekeeping: There will be no housekeeping on Friday, Dec. 25 or Friday Jan. 1.
Laundry:  There will be no laundry pick-ups on Friday, Dec. 25.  
Resident Health Center:  Closed on Friday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Jan. 1.

UPDATE: Telephone Outage Repaired



The telephone lines and Caresse pull cords in A and C buildings along with Village Assisted Living have been repaired by AT & T. If you were affected and unplugged the Caresse unit, please plug it back it. If you need assistance please call Public Safety.

Get Your New Year's Eve Party Wristbands Today!

 You won't want to miss the parties of the year!

Wristbands are now on sale for the upcoming New Year's Eve Parties. This year, there are parties at three locations: Places Manhattan Room, Courtyard Community Center and the CCMPA. You can also get a Party Hopper Pass that gets you into all three! There is exciting entertainment and delicious refreshments at each location.
Wristbands can be purchased at any Resident Life office. For more information see the December Village Voice or call 347-2861.

Make Plans to Attend the December Resident Council General Meeting

The December Resident Council General Meeting, which will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7 at the Courtyard Community Center will feature several activities.

The meeting will include a recognition of new residents, which includes new residentws who have moved in during the past year.This will be the Resident Council's annual Holiday Hospitality Celebration. There will be refreshments.
The meeting will also  feature a performance by the Treble Clefs, one of the Village's performing arts groups.

The Holiday Spirit is Alive at the Village


Here are a few snapshots of holiday activities already happening around the Village! The Village performing arts groups performed a sneak peek concert of the Candy Canes and Carols program at the Ambassador Room recently. And Christmas trees are popping up around the campus, including this one at the CCMPA, where staff and residents helped decorate the tree.
