Stop by and meet the new manager at the Courtyard Café!
Carmen Wayman has been on the job just more than a week and
is looking forward to the new opportunities it will bring. She has worked in
food service for more than 10 years, including in independent living, assisted
living and memory care communities.
“I started my career in the food service industry in
restaurants, but after my first position with a restaurant in an independent
living community, it just click
ed for me,” Carmen said. “I enjoy being a part
of providing a service that people genuinely need and enjoy. It makes me feel
good at the end of day.”
She is excited about what’s ahead for the Village, including
the new restaurant in the Courtyard Commons area and is spending time learning
the processes at the Village and developing a rapport with the associates.
“The other restaurant managers as well as associates and
residents are all so welcoming,” Carmen said. “It’s such a great atmosphere at
the Village and I have already noticed how involved and active so many of the
residents are. It’s great.”
She plans on incorporating as much from scratch and fresh
menu items as possible in the future and will focus on continuing to raise the
standard for service and quality delicious food.
Courtyard Café Hours:
Monday – Friday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday: Closed
