Foundation to Host Nut and Bake Sale

The Ambassadors of the John Knox Village Foundation will hold its annual bake sale and nut sale at the Oktoberfest Craft Show on Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8 in The Pavilion. The sale is from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

All proceeds from this sale go to the JKV Foundation Resident Financial Assistance Fund. In addition to selling traditional favorites, the sale will include amaretto chocolate pecan halves, pistachios and a sugar-free bridge mix.

Here's how you can help with the bake sale.

  • Bake your favorite goodies – fudge, peanut brittle, muffins, sweet breads, cookies, brownies, and pecan pies are known winners. (Please no cream-filled food such as pumpkin or custard pies.)
  • Wrap your items in clear plastic, seal with tape and indicate on the outside what your baked good is and if it is diabetic, low-fat, low-sodium or has nuts.
  • Bring your baked goods by 9 a.m. to the Pavilion Friday, Oct. 7 and/or Saturday, Oct. 8.
  • If you do not bake and want to make a contribution, send your check to the JKV Foundation office, 400 N.W. Murray Road, Lee’s Summit, MO 64081 (Please indicate that it is for the bake sale.)
  • Need help delivering your baked goods? Call Marsha at 347-2382 for pick up.
