Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration
Residents are invited to attend a celebration of the life of
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. sponsored by the city of Lee’s Summit.
5:30 p.m. Monday,
Jan. 18, The Pavilion
The keynote speaker will be MCC-Longview President Kirk A.
Nooks, Ed.D. The theme is Living Bridge of Peace. There will be presentations
and performances by the International Studies team at Summit Technology
Academy, Lee’s Summit North High School Air Force Jr. ROTC, Pillars of Truth
Ministries Choir, Creative Movement Dancers, Lee’s Summit High School Jazz Band
and guitarist Dante Woods.
