Show-Me Exercise – New Madrid Earthquake Preparedness
Independence and Jackson County Emergency Preparedness are participating in the Missouri Show-Me National Mass Care Exercise to test their ability to respond to a disaster, especially as it relates to the expected New Madrid Earthquake. Residents have the opportunity to volunteer.

Brochures are available at the Resident Life office near the Chapel or at any
Area Manager office. The Village will provide transportation to and from the
training. The bus will pick up residents at 8:15 a.m. at Places Restaurant, and upon returning to the Village, bringing them to their homes.
